progress....10 weeks out

so one of my bfs pointed out that i hadn't posted in a while, so here it goes!  I'm now just past 10 weeks post op and i'm down from my all time high of 344 to 284 =o) It feels amazing to be able to wear size 24/26 jeans, i'm right around the weight i graduated h.s. and entered college at.  I have my good days and bad days, it's a real struggle to get in all my water and calcium supplements.  i have to force myself to get back on track with that.  i've also been slacking on the working out, i know it's an excuse but i'm seriously exhausted every day with work, the internships and class and buying a home. i know i can do this, i just need to get back on the ball wake up earlier and get some walking in.  hopefully once we move in that will be easier, i have to make it easier.  i'm not gonna lie and say i don't slip up and eat stuff i shouldn't eat, the other day i had a veggie spring roll, which is seriously bad b/c even though its veggies it's still fried. so i'm not going to be doing that again.  anywho, i probably could be at a lower weight by now, but i'm not going to obsess over comparing how much i've lost at this point to other's who are at the same time frame and have lost more.  i just need to worry about me, my health, food choices, and mental well being. so here are some pictures, it's only 10 lbs from the last pics, but i can still see the slight changes going on =oD

Oh yea, and i'm about to turn 30 this weekend, i'm almost in denial. i didn't think i'd be this way, i thought i'd want to party and celebrate all of my achievements thus far and enjoy turning 30, but i find myself just wanting to stay home.  i guess i'm in an age, socializing funk, but hopefully i get out of it soon, there are too many things in my life to be thankful for and proud of, i can't let myself wallow.

Weekend in Fredericksburg

So this was the last weekend Kris & I will have off for a while so we decided to go to Fredericksburg Tx. We visited the National Museum of the Pacific War and it was amazing, i got emotional in parts of it but i still loved it.  We stayed a the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites cause it was cheap (100 bucks with tax) and only a block away from main street. The room wasn't anything to write home about, it was a glorified motel but it was pretty cute and clean so that's all that mattered.  It was freezing cold, the fountain at the hotel was still half frozen (temps at night were about 8 degrees, yes you read that right eight degrees!) and the day was chilly but nice at right around 48 degrees. we walked down main street and krist tried the local texas wine and i got to have a sip and spit it out lol.  I thought eating was going to be a big deal, but i was able to actually make good food choices. our first meal was at a local landmark Subway LOL everything was closed for the between lunch/dinner time so I had a mini sub with turkey lettuce tomatoe, onion cucumber and black olives and avacado i just threw the bread away and it was delish!  then we had dinner at this place called the Buffalo Nickle, i had a cobb salad that didn't have any avacado but it was still yummy. i took most of it back to the room but we ended up throwing it out cause i knew i wouldn't eat it.  sunday morning we had the continental breakfast at the hotel, so i ate a little bit of sausage and egg.  we went back to the museum to finish looking around and then to the battle museum about 2 blocks away. after that we ate at Ratheskellar Cellar Restaraunt, it was so good! i had the Chateau salad and again brought almost all of it home but it was so yummy. Kris had the home made chili and i had a little taste that was yummy as well.  It was a wonderful little weekend getaway, i'm glad we had the chance to go and we plan on going back sometime later this year for the battle reinactment they put on 7 weekends a year.  Here are some pictures, enjoy
